Any tips on a great DVD player+Home Cinema?? - dvd player hdmi great for alternate format playback!
Looking to buy a DVD 5.1 surround sound (all-in-One) player. My Toshiba is a bit old. Apparently they have a HDMI output. And very importantly, an optical audio input on my Xbox 360 I need a player with cube speakers instead of the stands, and I want something with around 800 watts total. I like Sony, Panasonic, Samsung and Philips, perhaps. I sail for 3 hours now to comment on the best systems and can still not on my mind! I spend over 250 pounds, so if someone has bought a new system and seeks to give advice, I appreciate it. Thanks

Overall, not always the best choice. Not grow and new technologies. If you can go and buy a cheap DVD player and then buy a package of sound system that includes the main unit and speakers. Do not forget the cable. If you have or you want everything to your receiver then you will pay for itself will be connected. That, of course, if you want it all, the best picture. Most of the lowest luxury system are not compatible with component or HDMI inputs and / or products.
Connections are everything. There are several ways to get it right. If your TV has the inputs you need, you can all the way through and then send the digital audio to your sound system. All audio connections must opitic fiber, coaxial cable or HDMI (which is in the field, both audio and video). So, as you select different inputs on your TV, you will see the image on the screen and play back surround sound on your audio equipment. In the video connection HDMI is nice, but not the only option. Cable Componants offer an HD picture. They wPatients need a separate audio cable.
An audio system is not having enough "800 watts". The speakers should be effective and that the recipient must be clean. Distortion blows speakers. I would not pay more because the system has more power.
5.1 is far from obsolete, the HD programming is in him. Who does not enjoy, then you have your system is configured correctly.
A view.
5.1 is so old, surfing again!
